The apartment is literally surrounded by history, a few steps from Dante’s house, the (recently reopened) Museo dell’Opera del Duomo, with an incredible view of the Duomo from the apartment’s windows. Although it is in the historic centre there a number of shops and 2 small supermarkets close to the apartment. For Bars and Restaurants the choice is wide.The location is ideal to visit  Florence. All the main attractions are within walking distance and it is  easy to return to the apartment for  a rest and then go  out again.

The building, according to him, could have been the house of Beatrice Portinari’s family. Yes Beatrice, the lady loved by Dante, whose house is 100 mts away.
